Entitle Guard – Consumer Terms & Consent for Shopify Checkout

By opting into Entitle Guard during checkout, you agree to the following terms and consent to the collection, use, and transfer of your purchase information from the merchant’s Shopify store to Entitle Guard Pty Ltd (“Entitle Guard”, “we”, “us”, “our”) for the purposes of entitlement management, post-purchase support, and consumer rights enablement.

1. Purpose of Data Collection

Entitle Guard collects transaction and personal details to enable automated entitlement registration and management. This includes but is not limited to warranties, returns, repairs, product support, and related consumer protections.

2. Information We Collect

• Your name and contact information (email, phone number)
• Purchase and product details (order ID, product name, SKU, quantity, value)
• Transaction metadata including store name and purchase timestamp

3. How Your Information Is Used

• To register product entitlements such as warranty and return coverage
• To notify you of key entitlement events (e.g., warranty expiry, service windows)
• To provide access to manuals, support tools, and service agents
• To help you understand your rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

4. Consent to Data Transfer

By agreeing to these terms, you consent to the transfer of relevant data from the Shopify merchant to Entitle Guard. This is necessary to activate entitlement services and allow you to access them through the Entitle Guard platform.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is securely stored on Australian servers (AWS, Sydney region). Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard access controls and security measures.

6. Fair Use and Limitations

• We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
• Data is only shared with third parties (e.g., OEMs, service agents) when needed to deliver entitlement services, and only with your consent.
• Your data is used only for the scope of post-purchase support and entitlement fulfillment.

7. Your Rights

• You can access, correct, or delete your data by contacting Entitle Guard or through your profile in the mobile app.
• You retain all rights granted to you under Australian Consumer Law and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

8. Optional Account Activation

After your purchase, you may receive a message inviting you to activate your Entitle Guard account. Doing so allows you to manage entitlements directly through the mobile app.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
